Meet the makers of Anne Bonny: The Film
India is the writer and director. Born in Hong Kong and growing up on the move, she has lived in places as diverse as Penang and Yorkshire. This has ingrained a thirst for adventure both in her life and stories. India’s previous work includes a range of form such as short films, live multi-camera directing, and music videos. What spare time she has left revolves around music, horses, and dancing!
Adam hails from Berkshire and was born with the filmmaking gene – his mother used to work as a producer for ITV. Adam has had roles as an extra on many of the Harry Potter films and used to work in the camera department at the BBC before returning to education to strengthen his knowledge in other aspects of filmmaking. He is a jack of all trades, turning his hand from sound department to directing, but is a master of the production sides of film, whether this be producing or assistant directing.
Nansu is our production and costume designer on this film. She was born in Finland but raised in Sweden and speaks four languages. As well as working as part of the art department on films, Nansu is also trained and skilled in both the lighting and camera departments. She is a highly skilled artist, offering her services as an illustrator. Nansu cites her two favourite things as cats and tea!
Director of Photography
Dennis Murickan, from India, is the Director of Photography for Bonny’s Revenge. Trained at the Met Film School, Ealing Studios, he is skilled in both the lighting and camera departments having already camera operated on a feature film in September of 2014. As well as film, Dennis is also an avid stills photographer and his work can been seen on his Facebook photography page. Another of Dennis’ main interests outside of film is football.
Alex Aked is the camera operator for this production. He hails from Germany but spent a number of years growing up in Belgium. He trained firstly in editing before returning to education to study lighting and camera. Alex has worked very closely with our DoP, Dennis, in the past and was the focus puller for him on the feature film shot in September 2014. He comes onto our production straight off the back of filming his on documentary on Deep Sea Diving.
Zach Freeman is our editor. From Florida, USA, Zach is not only a fantastic editor but also a brilliant cook. His edits always serve a film well as his knack for good timing is always spot on. Zach has edited countless short films (both fiction and documentary) and a feature film. We look forward to seeing where he will take the film.
